Paso Ligero's Sequoia wins 2nd purple!
Paso Ligero’s Sequoia received her second reserve championship at the 2009 PAOBA Breeder's Showcase, judged by Diana Timmerman. She had received her first at the 2008 MABA Alpaca celebration in front of judge Wade Gease. Sequoia is simply a fine example of a suri, and was judged so early on by Jude Anderson at the 2008 MAPACA Jubilee, receiving a first place as a 7-month-old. She has since received those two reserve championships, and more first and second place awards. Her fleece radiates luster with beautiful pencil locks and a very typey suri head. Though her dam and sire are both white, her grandsire’s (Meadowgate’s Eminance Grise) color genetics showed through with her rich medium fawn body and white face. To top off the package, Sequoia’s personality is as calm and sweet as they come. She’s a joy to show and handle and we’ve selected a service sire that we blieve will add to her color, style and quality while maintaining her personality in the cria she throws. She is in Indiana being bred to Sierra Bonita's Peruvian Sniper, a full Peruvian, true black suri with a record 19 championships to his name.

GREAT NEWS! We just received confirmation by ultrasound that Sequoia is bred to Sniper and has a late-summer 2010 cria due.

Call to make an appointment today to visit the farm and discuss adding Sequoia to your herd.
