Paso Ligero’s Spice Girl is a beautiful, full Peruvian huacaya female with a rich brown color in her blanket and beyond and black showing through in her face and lower legs like her dam. While her dam brought the gorgeous color, and density her sire, Derwydd Peruvian Pinaci’s Quan, brought the crimpy, fine and bright fleece that covers her from head to toes. Spice’s sire is the son of Accoyo Pinachi, who was hand-picked by Dr. Julio Sumar in the last Peruvian import. Even in her rather messy cria fleece, Spice still received a first place at PAOBA’s 2010 Breeder’s Showcase in a tough class of eight animals. Judge David Barboza complimented her fleece structure, density and brightness and full package looks that included excellent size for her age. At the 2010 SEPA Show and Sale, Spice received a second place, and Judge Tim Lavan said he could find nothing negative at all to say about her. In fact, he said the animal placing above her at first place only beat her slightly on fineness.
Spice has continued to do well in her show career, placing most recently third in a very competetive class at the 2011 PAOBA Breeder's Showcase in York, PA. Spice i aproaching her second birthday in August, so she is soon ready to be bred. Its a great time to consider adding her at a maiden female price to your breeding program. She can add excellent full Peruvian, part Accoyo, color genetics to anyone's herd.
Clients who purchase a female from Paso Ligero receive a free breeding to any of Paso Ligero's herdsires of the same breed for that female, plus 50 percent off breedings to any Paso Ligero herdsire for any of their females.
