Paso Ligero's Gandalf

Paso Ligero's Gandalf is a big, solid male who grows great staple length of fine, bright fleece.  Gandalf's blanket is a very fine, bright white, but he has medium brown and true black markings aroun his head and feet. WIth his blanket not getting any large markings, we chose not to try to show him, since he would show in the tough white class where color spots often are detrimental, even outside of the blanket. In the first spin-off we entered (the 2011 MAPACA Jubilee Spin-Off), Gandalf's fleece received a 3rd place in the yearling white huacaya class.

Gandalf's lineage includes his great grandfather, the impressive Hemingway on his sire's side. His sire is an appaloosa, and is 1/2 Peruvian, with his dam being medium brown with a black face and socks and full Peruvian.
